The Big Thank You 2008

Military families of Camp Pendleton receive gifts of Thanks

Bells of Freedom’s biggest annual event, The Big Thank You, was a great success. Marine and Navy families were greeted by their 2008 sponsors on Sunday, December 21, 2008 and personally thanked for their service and their families sacrifices. The day started with a ‘meet and greet’ complete with Einstein Bros. Bagels and cream cheese, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Company’s delicious coffee and hot chocolate, Jamba Juice smoothies, and other treats.

The Marine and Navy enlisted and their families were honored with Presentation of Colors by the Mission Bay High School Color Guard, directed by SgtMjr. Mark Harrell (Ret). Enlisted families where then thanked by base chaplains and commanding officers for their service and loyalty to country.

Opening of the two (2) United Parcel Service semi’s began the delivery of gifts to Marine and Navy families along with introduction of enlisted families to their 2008 community sponsors.

Dance Hearts and the Bells of Freedom program would like to thank it’s many community sponsors and most importantly our enlisted men, women and families of Camp Pendleton and all those enlisted in all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces where ever they serve; here at home or abroad.
