Dance Hearts and the Bells of Freedom program’s biggest annual event, The Big Thank You 2012, was a great success. Marines and their families were greeted by their 2012 sponsors on Sunday, December 09, 2012 at the Binder Memorial Chapel and personally thanked for their service their service and loyalty to country and their families’ sacrifices. The Marine enlisted and their families were honored with a opening of ceremony welcome by Chaplain Leticia Rouser and Bells of Freedom’s Louis and Tanya McKay with Lt. Col. Michael Kennedy and Major Joseph Cleary of the AAS Battalion in attendance. A ‘meet and greet’ complete with barbeque chicken and all the fixin’s from Rotisserie Affair, Jamba Juice smoothies, and other treats provided Sponsors and their ‘adopted’ families to enjoy a hot meal together and get to know one another. The day culminated in the opening of the United Parcel Service semi and the Sysco semi to begin the delivery of gifts to Marine families along with their Sponsors.
DanceHearts and the Bells of Freedom Program would like to thank our many individual, family, organization, and corporate sponsors in helping to make the “2012 The Big Thank-You” Military Family Adoption at Camp Pendleton a great success. Total contributions made by these concerned sponsors to this very ‘personal’ annual event serves our military men, women and their families as a ‘real life’ way for everyday citizens to show their love, support and appreciation to our enlisted men and women that serve in all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces wherever they serve, here at home or abroad.
We know that community outreach to our enlisted men and women would not be possible without the generous support of individuals, businesses and organizations who share the same goal of service. We thank you, our sponsors for your commitment in assisting these families and letting them know that their sacrifices do not go without notice.
